Hi, my name is Anthony Yurisich. I am one of four children, having two older sisters (Kelly & Lynne) and a younger brother (Michael). My parents are Judi and Ian.
I grew up on our winery in South Guildford, experiencing many different aspects of the winery and vineyard during my childhood, which was always exciting and was where my interest in the industry began.
I completed my secondary education in the bush, at Cunderdin Agricultural College. These were my favourite two years of school, learning about everything from animal husbandry, crop production, business management through to welding, automotive repairs and maintenance.
After graduating from Ag School in 2000, I went straight into the Bachelor of Science and Oenology (winemaking) course at Curtin Uni. During my time at uni I worked with dad, picking his brains as often as possible.
In 2002 I completed a vintage at Houghton Winery in the Swan Valley and I was lucky enough to do a vintage in the Napa Valley in 2005, with Kent Rasmussen Winery. My experience in the Napa was incredible. I worked in a family run winery, similar to ours and learnt more than any book could ever teach.
Since graduating from uni in 2003, I have been working full time with dad. The business is completely family owned and operated, which means between the two of us, we get to do everything (including bookwork!).
